When you reach your step goal, you'll get a notification and the task will be moved to the “Completed” section on your Daily Checklist. PLEASE NOTE: There may be a time lag between the time you reach your goal and the time you receive the notification! Additionally, you should not notice any changes to your phone's battery life when you enable tracking.
- You will need an iPhone using iOS 9 or above.
- Synchronization with Apple Health will work on iPhones 5s and above and is not compatible with the iPad. Visit this article for more information about how to upgrade the software on your smartphone.
- If you do not have a compatible device, don't worry! You'll be able to manually track your steps the same way as before, where you hit “Start” to begin recording your progress, and “Stop” when you finish your exercise.
- You will need to accept new permissions in the Apple Health App to begin tracking.
How to accept permissions in Apple Health
Setting up this feature is quick and easy! When you open up Wellframe for the first time, you’ll automatically be prompted to connect Wellframe to Apple Health. Just select the physical activity task on your checklist:
When prompted, tapping “Connect Now” will take you to your Apple Health settings where you can toggle on “Steps” and then tap “Allow” (in the top right).
If you do not allow permission to sync with Apple Health, you will be able to manually track your steps when you press “Start Tracking” in your Physical Activity task. In the future, if you want to authorize Wellframe to sync with Apple Health, you can do so by going to your Apple Settings Menu > Health > Data Access & Devices > Wellframe > toggle on Steps.
